Rhonda L. Fleming, MSOL is the Chief of Prevention, Intervention & Outreach at Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh (WCS). Her career there expands over 3 decades and she is an expert trainer on Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), Teen Dating Violence and Battering and Abusive behavioral patterns. Rhonda’s journey at WCS began in prevention and she helped to develop the agency’s school programs for pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. In the 1990s, she co-authored the award-winning “Hands Are Not For Hurting” domestic violence prevention school-based curriculum. It has sold nationally and was replicated in Moscow, Russia, where Rhonda had the opportunity to train non-governmental agencies. Rhonda’s duties include the supervision of several of WCS’s programs including the Residential Shelter, The Wellness Team, Children, Youth & Families IPV team, the Refugee, Immigration & Limited English proficiency team, the Men Embracing Nonviolence & Safety Battering Intervention program and the Medical Advocacy programs. For leisure, Rhonda enjoys being a travel agent, being a podcaster, and spending time with her daughter.
