Educational Opportunity Programs

YWCA Greater Pittsburgh has been a part of the educational landscape of Southwestern Pennsylvania for more than 100 years, having opened an “Industrial School” for boys and girls in the late 19th century. In the decades since then, YWCA Greater Pittsburgh has operated multiple childcare and out-of-school programs, viewing education as central to our vision.

Today, we offer infant and toddler care as well as educational programs for grades Pre-K to 12. Our Keystone STAR 4 Early Learning Centers prepare infants through five-year-olds to succeed in the years ahead, and our Opportunity Pathways Programs expose students to post-secondary education and career pathways.
