Keysha Gomez

YWCA Greater Pittsburgh’s 2025 Creativity and Innovation Award goes to Keysha Gomez. Keysha is a visionary leader and creator whose work bridges arts, education, and community empowerment. As Co-Founder of Kulture Dance Academy with her oldest daughter, K’aijha, she has built a vibrant space where nearly 150 dancers of all ages—especially young women of color—develop artistic excellence, cultural pride, and confidence that extends beyond the studio. Under their leadership, Kulture has become more than a dance school; it is a movement that celebrates identity, inspires creativity, and nurtures future leaders. Keysha is also the Founder of HOPE for Tomorrow, Inc., where she has championed out-of-school programs blending academics, life skills, and creative expression for Pittsburgh youth. Inspired daily by her children—K’aijha, Malachi, Micah, and Jeremiah—Keysha continues to transform challenges into opportunities, weaving together storytelling, mentorship, and the arts to amplify women’s voices and spark lasting change.
