Nicole Henninger

Nicole Henninger has spent nearly 15 years advancing arts and culture and championing equity in Pittsburgh's creative ecosystem through grantmaking, artist support, and program development. As a Program Officer at The Pittsburgh Foundation, she manages a portfolio that supports individual artists and small and mid-sized arts organizations, helping them realize their creative vision, strengthen community connections, and contribute to the region's cultural vitality. Nicole helped design and implement the Exposure Artists Program and Exposure Artists Fellowship Program, initiatives created to elevate diverse local artists and collectives. She also provides programmatic leadership for Advancing Black Arts in Pittsburgh, a grantmaking initiative supporting individual artists and organizations producing or presenting Black art and cultural events amplifying the art of the African diaspora. Before joining the Foundation, Nicole held project management and communications roles with Pittsburgh-area nonprofits. She earned a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communications from Point Park University.
