Honoring John Lewis, Protecting Democracy

As a member of the Voting is Power Pittsburgh Regional Coalition, we co-hosted the Sixth Annual Good Trouble Lives On Weekend of Action along with numerous community partners. The event, which was held to commemorate the life of the late civil rights activist and Congressman John Lewis, included workshops, a candlelight vigil, a peace march, and other forms of community education. At YWCA GP, we strive to support voter empowerment across the Greater Pittsburgh region, and the Weekend of Action is just one way we are helping to protect democracy ahead of the November 3 election.
